Patents are given to anyone with a genuinely new idea which can cause a change to the world and something that has an impact to the global perspective of the market and its demands. It gives and provides exclusive rights and ownership to the person who owns it and applies for it. After granting the patent the exclusive invention or the idea is presented to the public for complete disclosure and after that, the public is open to interpretation. It basically secures your idea with a give and take situation where you present your idea to the world and in return you get the complete ownership of the idea so that no one can steal it from you.
Uniqueness in my perspective is the chance of showing off the invention. A specific trait or a character that belongs only to one set of product or a particular idea is uniqueness in my opinion. In a patent, if the idea doesn’t posses anything new, or doesn’t bring anything new to the table then it doesn’t have the quality of uniqueness. Any Idea that must be submitted for a patent must have a unique quality or something new for it to be filed for a patent. For, example some inventions may have nothing new, but can be better versions of the already invented models or products. In this case, they are called improvements and not new products or ideas. In reality, many inventors ignore or not write the key points of the invention on purpose to avoid competition from competitors who can look into your patent and improve upon your idea.
Non- Obviousness is the nature of the patent, if its clear that it has been improved upon other inventions and brings something clearly new to the table of inventions, in this case it is significantly clear that a patent will be offered or will be accepted the particular organization. Obviousness claims that the particular invention is an improvement on the already preexisting product.
A patent is very important because it give the protection of the idea, and also a sense of security to the person or the owner or the inventor the chance of presenting his idea under the spotlight. It guarantees ownership and prevents thefts or counterfeits of ideas. It is a very important aspect in today’s world where there are many small inventions on a day to day basis. It provides and clear cut method of filing inventions and keeping everything on record.
Most Valuable patents according to me:
Magnetic levitation: Using electromagnetic levitation, trains suspension is raised above the ground and passengers are transported across the world in record time. This has affected the travel business and cut the travel times across the world.
iPhone: Its uncommon to not see an iPhone out there in anyone’s hands. It has drastically changed the world be itfrom the cosmetic side or the technology stance. The whole world of Android and other brands such as Blackberry got affected by the invention of the iPhone. It has completely resolutions the world of phone and electronic devices.
Drone: Since everyone dreamed of a machine that could float and help record or transport luggage, the drones were invented. The future delivery system could be completely changed thanks to drones.
3-D Printer- Anything that you can design can now be literally printed into a 3-D structure thanks to the printer. So many new things have been invented from Shoes to bricks or guns thanks to 3-D Printer.
GPS- The Global positioning system has had the most drastic impact in everyone’s lives. It help track your phone status, or your location and help you whenever your lost. We are completely thankful to the invention of GPS.
